About Me

I received my Doctorate in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2006. I completed my internship training at Chicago Read Mental Health Center in Chicago where I provided short-

term psychotherapy in both English and Spanish to acute and long-term psychiatric patients with chronic and severe mental illness. I also led and co-led psychotherapy groups in both English and Spanish for the patients. I completed my postdoctoral training at Pillars in Berwyn, Illinois. I worked as a therapist in the adult outpatient program providing psychotherapy in both English and Spanish to adults with chronic mental illness. I ran a group for adults in this program. I was also a member of the crisis team, providing crisis intervention services to adults, adolescents, and children as well as triage and assessment services to adults facing psychiatric hospitalization at local hospitals. My duties also included case management involving service referrals, client advocacy, and community services. I have worked in private practice since 2009, most recently running a successful practice in Chicago specializing in working with adult women. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Georgia and the state of Illinois.

I strive to provide a safe, comforting and pleasant environment in which my clients can nurture and cultivate their personal growth. I firmly believe in respecting the needs, goals and ideas of the client, that my clients know themselves best and so I meet you where you are and help you get to where you want to be. I like to use humor, warmth and compassion in my work. I am pleased to be able to provide services in either English or Spanish. At this time I am seeing self-pay clients, Blue Cross Blue Shield/ Anthem, Aetna, Cigna, United and Ambetter clients as well as out of network clients.
